Frequently asked questions
- What is Grula?
- Grula is a B2B pricing engine for wholesalers, distributors and manufacturers. It replaces pricing spreadsheets with rules: you manage price lists, customer-specific prices, discounts and fees in one place, and your ERP, online shop and sales team get the same price through one API.
- Who is Grula for?
- Manufacturers and distributors that sell a catalogue through dealers, wholesalers or a B2B shop, with several price lists, dealer-specific terms, markets or currencies. Typical examples are furniture, furniture fittings, lighting and bathroom products. Grula fits best when an ERP, B2B shop or dealer portal already exists and should take its prices from one place.
- How much does Grula cost?
- Grula is licensed per year at a flat fee based on company size, with no per-lookup or per-user fees within an agreed workload: €1,200 per month for annual revenue up to €25M, €2,000 per month for €25–100M and €3,500 per month above €100M, billed annually. The usual first step is a price list audit for €2,500, credited against the first-year license.
- How does Grula integrate with an ERP or online shop?
- Through a REST API at https://api.grula.net, authenticated with a Bearer token. One request returns the price for a set of price drivers (for example product and customer tier), a currency and a pricing date. A batch endpoint returns up to 100 prices per request. Each response lists the price components, so you can see which price list and which discounts were applied.
- Can Grula replace Excel price lists?
- Yes, for the pricing logic. Price lists become pricing policies, and discounts and fees become price adjustment policies with conditions. Every system that asks Grula for a price gets the same result from the same rules, so prices no longer have to be copied between spreadsheets and channels.
- Does Grula support multiple currencies and future prices?
- Yes. Every price request specifies the currency as a three-letter ISO code (for example EUR or PLN) and an optional pricing date, so you can calculate prices for a past or future date, such as before and after a price increase. Prices are maintained per currency; Grula does not convert them with exchange rates.
- What does Grula not do?
- Grula applies the price lists and conditions you define: a base price per product or variant and currency, then discounts, surcharges, overrides, rounding and minimum or maximum price limits. It does not calculate prices from dimensions, bills of materials or production costs, set prices from competitor or market data, or settle retrospective bonuses and rebates. For made-to-measure products, your configurator determines the variant and Grula prices it.
- Where is our pricing data hosted?
- Grula runs on Microsoft Azure in the EU, with encrypted connections. Before you send any price list, we sign a non-disclosure agreement and a GDPR data processing agreement. An audit uses only the product range and sample you choose.
